PM Modi to make seventh visit to Uttarakhand, pray at Kedarnath temple

Dehradun, Sep 30 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi will make his seventh visit to Uttarakhand in the second fortnight of October. Officials said Modi will visit one of his favourite destinations -- the Kedarnath Temple, and perform puja.
As the Uttarakhand election comes closer Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Kedarnath Shrine and perform puja in October.
Officials in the Chief Minister's Office informed that preparations are underway for Prime Minister's proposed visit between October 22 and 25, even as the PMO has not released his program officially.
It's notable that after assuming office of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has visited the Kedarnath shrine six times since 2014.
He had visited Kedarnath on October 21, 2022 after the assembly polls.
Besides performing puja at the Kedarnath Temple, Prime Minister will inspect the ongoing reconstruction works at Kedarpuri.
He will inquire about the deadline for completion of all the works in Kedarnath and declare open the completed projects for the pilgrims.
According to officials, Prime Minister's SPG team has already inspected Kedarnath for security reasons and sent their report.
Following his Kedarnath visit, Prime Minister Modi will fly to Tehri to inaugurate the 1000MW Pumped Storage Power Plant of Tehri Hydroelectric Development Corporation.
Uttarakhand has always been a favourite destination of the Prime Minister, especially after he took over as head of the government at the centre.
Most of his six visits, barring election rallies, involved offering prayers and performing rituals at the Kedarnath Temple.
Modi has also appealed to people from across the country to visit Uttarakhand's tourist places.
He has appealed to global tourists to visit the Himalayan state, promoting winter tourism. He also asked the youth of the country to come to Uttarakhand hills for destination weddings.
