Ponguleti launches free online coaching for unemployed youth

Hyderabad, Oct 28 (UNI) Telangana Revenue, Housing and I&PR Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy on Wednesday launched ‘PSR Yuva Nestham’, an initiative of the PSR Charitable Trust to provide free online coaching for competitive examinations to unemployed youth across Telangana.
Launched in collaboration with RC Exams, the programme will offer free training, books and study materials for one year, with an extension if required.
Ponguleti said there was no limit on the number of candidates, adding that over one lakh aspirants had registered within 10 days of the announcement.
Recalling his earlier initiative in the Khammam region, he said 462 of the approximately 2,300 unemployed youth who received offline coaching in 2016 had secured government jobs. The online programme aims to make quality coaching accessible to candidates across the state, irrespective of their financial circumstances or location.
The Minister also said the Congress government, led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, had filled 72,000 government posts over the past two years and that around 15,000 more vacancies would be filled soon.
Separately, Ponguleti announced that the Chief Minister had agreed to resolve the long-pending issue of housing plots for journalists before Diwali.
