Patna, June 8 (UNI) JD(U) MLC Sanjay Singh on Sunday alleged that " Jan Suraaj " leader Prashant Kishor had demanded the post of Deputy Chief Minister when he was in JD(U) and left the party after it was turned down by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
Singh told media persons here that Kishor was a pure businessman and he had launched his party to manage funds earned by him from various sources. Kishor had always been aspiring to occupy the top post, and he was not at all concerned with issues of public interest, he added.
" Kishor had demanded the post of Deputy Chief Minister when he was in
JD(U) but Chief Minister Kumar refused to entertain his demand ", JD(U) MLC said, adding that Kishor left the party as his request was turned down. Chief Minister Kumar had given much respect to Kishor, but his ambition was high, and it was impossible for him to fulfill the same, he pointed out.
Jan Suraaj leader Kishor, who was a strategist of JD(U) during the 2015 Bihar assembly elections, and his contribution was vital for the victory of the Grand Alliance. Later, he had joined JD(U) and was made vice president, but left the party, voicing his anger in public over the support extended by JD(U) to the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in Parliament introduced by the Narendra Modi government.
