Pune Graduates’ constituency heats up as MVA’s Harshada Deshmukh targets Mahayuti's Smita Jadhav

Pune, Oct 16 (UNI) Political activity in the Pune Graduates’ constituency is gathering momentum, with Maha Vikas Aghadi candidate Harshada Jadhav Deshmukh taking aim at Mahayuti candidate, Smita Jadhav, over election preparedness.
Asserting that she has been working in the constituency for the past one-and-a-half years, Deshmukh has questioned the approach of entering the electoral race at the last minute, making sustained voter outreach a key point of contention in the campaign.
Her remarks are seen as a direct challenge to the Mahayuti candidate, with Deshmukh questioning the political approach of a candidate fielded by the BJP at a relatively late stage.
By highlighting her sustained engagement with the constituency, she has sought to establish her credentials and underline her preparedness for the electoral contest.
Deshmukh, who is contesting on behalf of the Sharad Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party as part of the Maha Vikas Aghadi, has stepped up her campaign and is focusing on direct interactions with voters.
As part of her outreach programme, she has been visiting various locations in Pandharpur to meet voters and strengthen her campaign.
These interactions are aimed at expanding her support base and consolidating the Maha Vikas Aghadi's position in the constituency.
The political contest in the Pune Graduates’ Constituency is now beginning to gather momentum, with candidates sharpening their attacks on their opponents.
After the political exchanges surrounding the Teachers’ constituency, the Graduates’ constituency has also emerged as a battleground for competing political claims.
Deshmukh's remarks have added a new dimension to the contest, with the duration of candidates' engagement with voters and their preparedness emerging as potential campaign issues.
The coming days are expected to witness intensified campaigning and further political exchanges between the Maha Vikas Aghadi and the Mahayuti.
