The Council of Ministers, chaired by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, took the decision.
Under the proposed legislation, the Ranjitgarh Development Authority, or RDA, will be established as a statutory body under the administrative control of the Tourism and Cultural Affairs Department.

It approved an amendment to the Punjab Nursing Education Service Rules (Group B), 2016, allowing eligible regular Staff Nurses and Nursing Sisters with an M.Sc. in Nursing in the relevant speciality to be considered for promotion as tutors at government nursing colleges in Patiala and Amritsar.
Preference will be given to candidates with one year of teaching experience in nursing education.
