Punjab to provide educational tours for meritorious students from government schools: CM

Chandigarh, May 27 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Tuesday announced his government will provide educational tours to premier educational institutes of the country for the top performing students from government schools in various districts to widen their horizon for futuristic growth.
The Chief Minister, while interacting with the top performing students from all the districts except Ludhiana, said their success is a moment of pride and satisfaction for all the stakeholders.
The Punjab School Education Board honored the toppers of Punjab in the 10th and 12th class examinations at an event today.
He said that, while the students had burnt the midnight oil to achieve this success, the contribution of parents and teachers who guided these students is no less.
Mann said that the state government has organised this function to acknowledge the achievements of these students.
Congratulating all the students, teachers and parents, he said that it is a historic day as the topper of the state arrived here adding that it is the privilege of the state government to felicitate these young minds.
He lauded all the teachers and parents as well as the students and said that this is a defining moment in the career of all the students. Mann said that this function is primarily a confidence building exercise of the students as they are the leaders of tomorrow.
