Ram Madhav, his team to take stock of assembly, RS polls in Uttarakhand

Dehradun, Sep 24 (UNI) BJP national vice president and newly appointed Uttarakhand state in-charge, Ram Madhav, along with co-incharges Arvind Menon and Bansuri Swaraj, will make their first visit to Dehradun on September 25 to attend party's Core Committee meeting.
According to party leaders in Dehradun, first committee meeting led by Ram Madhav, will focus on poll strategy including selection of nominee for lone Rajya Sabha election to be held on October 16.
Senior BJP office-bearers in Uttarakhand have informed that first core committee meeting of the party will finalise constition of a three- member panel of the nominees for Rajya Sabha elections scheduled to be held on October 16. The state leadership has almost finalised all three names for the panel to be sent to the central leadership to pick one on them.

Election Commission of India has already issued a notification for election to soon-to-be falling vacant one Rajya Sabha seat, as the tenure of sitting MP Naresh Bansal is set to end on November 25.
State BJP president Mahendra Bhatt stated that information has been conveyed to all three leaders to be empanelled as nominees for Rajya Sabha poll and they have been asked to be present in the meeting on September 25.

Apart from Rajya Sabha poll, Ram Madhav and other two co-incharges will also take stock of the preparations for the upcoming 2027 assembly polls in the core committee meeting. BJP office-bearers from across the state have been asked to be present in this meeting for interaction with Ram Madhav and his co-incharges in Dehradun.
