Ramesh calls PM Modi’s ministerial meet a ‘Chinta Baithak’, questions parliament prorogation delay

New Delhi, Sep 17 (UNI) Congress general secretary in-charge communications Jairam Ramesh on Thursday sharpened his criticism of the Narendra Modi government, describing the Prime Minister’s proposed September 23-24 meeting with union Ministers as a “Chinta Baithak” rather than a “Chintan Baithak” and questioning why Parliament’s Monsoon session had not yet been formally prorogued.
In a post on social media platform X, Ramesh said reports indicated that PM Modi has convened a meeting of all union Ministers on September 23 and 24. “In reality, this is more of a Chinta Baithak than a Chintan Baithak,” he said, alleging that the PM is facing questions and criticism from several quarters.
The proposed meeting has been described in reports as a two-day exercise involving discussions on governance, reforms, policy implementation and the government’s future priorities, with union Ministers expected to participate.
