Sachin Kumar Yadav IAS takes charge as KFON MD

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 2 (UNI) Sachin Kumar Yadav, IAS, has assumed charge as the Managing Director of Kerala Fibre Optic Network (KFON), with strengthening digital connectivity and expanding the network's reach across the State expected to be among his key areas of focus.
Yadav is currently serving as the Director of Kerala State IT Mission and is holding additional charge as the Chief Executive Officer of Technopark and Director of the Kerala State Remote Sensing and Environment Centre (KSRSEC).
He has previously served as Deputy Secretary and Officer on Special Duty in the Finance Department and the AIS Department of the General Administration Department. He also served as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Rebuild Kerala Initiative.
Born in Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan, Yadav completed his B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from IIT Delhi before joining the Indian Administrative Service.
During his career in the Kerala Government, he has held several field-level and administrative positions, including Assistant Collector, Ernakulam; Sub Collector, Tirur; and District Development Commissioner, Malappuram.
As KFON Managing Director, his focus is expected to include further strengthening the State's digital connectivity infrastructure and expanding KFON services to more regions and sections of society.
Extending connectivity to homes, government and educational institutions and commercial establishments, along with strengthening digital inclusion, will be among the key areas of focus as KFON continues to expand its network and services across Kerala.
