Sena MLA Complains To Shinde That NCP MP Sunil Tatkare Is Trying To Kill Him

Mumbai, Oct 28 (UNI) Shiv Sena MLA Mahendra Thorve met Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde here on Wednesday and complained to him that Sunetra Ajit Pawar-led NCP Lok Sabha MP Sunil Tatkare is trying to get him murdered using professional contract killers.
Both Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena and the Sunetra Ajit Pawar-led NCP are constituents of the BJP-led Mahayuti government.
Sources said that Deputy CM Eknath Shinde heard Thorve out and assured him saying, "Don't worry, stay strong. I am with you".
According to sources, Thorve said that if there is no mediation in the matter, his activists may be forced to take extreme steps to preempt Tatkare.
Thorve said, "Attempts are being made to get contract killers to murder me. I am not afraid of death. I will be forced to reply as I please".
Later on Wednesday, Sunetra Ajit Pawar-led NCP leader Sudhakar Ghare responded to MLA Mahendra Thorve's allegations by holding a press conference.
Ghare claimed that Sunil Tatkare has been working in public life for the last 45 years and has never even been booked under for a non-cognisible offence in his entire life.
Ghare said that Sunil Tatkare is a moderate leader and has never spoken ill of anyone.
He stated that it is regrettable that Eknath Shinde MLA Mahendra Thorve accused Sunil Tatkare of trying to murder him using the services of professional contract killers.
He demanded that the police should investigate the allegations made by Thorve.
Ghare stated that to the warning given by Thorve, he would give a befitting reply which should also be investigated. UNI BA CDS
