Singareni must strengthen contribution to Telangana's development: CMD

Hyderabad, Sep 17 (UNI) Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) should further strengthen its contribution to the industrial and economic development of Telangana by efficiently meeting the state's growing energy requirements, SCCL Chairman and Managing Director Dr Buddhaprakash Jyoti said today.
Addressing employees and officials at Singareni Bhavan on the occasion of Telangana Praja Palana Dinotsavam 2026, Jyoti said sustained coal production and timely supplies to thermal power stations were essential to ensure the state's energy security.
He said power consumption could increase due to El Niño conditions and stressed the need for Singareni to remain prepared to meet the additional requirement.
The CMD, who unfurled the National Flag as part of the celebrations, said every employee had a responsibility to contribute to Telangana's development and the progress of the nation.
He called upon employees to discharge their duties with greater efficiency, commitment and dedication, keeping in view the interests of Singareni, the state's development and national progress.
Jyoti said Singareni occupied a significant position in Telangana's development and had a responsibility to continue supporting the state's economic growth.
He attributed the company's achievements to the collective efforts of workers, employees, officers and trade union leaders and appreciated the contribution of all sections of the workforce.
The CMD expressed confidence that Singareni would achieve better results in the coming days with the same spirit of collective effort.
