SP advises prompt response in cases of missing women and girls

Kakinada, June 25 (UNI) District Superintendent of Police Garikipati Bindu Madhav has asked the police to act swiftly on the complaints regarding women and girls missing cases and render justice to the victims taking personal interest.
Reviewing the cases especially the woman and girls missing, atrocities against women, pocso cases, cyber crimes, at the monthly crime meeting at the district police office here today, Madhav asked them to strive for peaceful settlement in matrimonial problems, family issues and ensure that they would not lead to physical attacks.
Referring to the functioning of the woman police station, one stop centers, and family counseling centers, he instructed them to evince special interest on harassment of women above 60 years of age and girls below 10 years age.
Identifying the police stations having more property offences, the SP ordered the Station house officers concerned, to take stringent steps under organised crime laws.
The SP further instructed the police to identify the black spots for traffic safety and deploy more police personnel during peak hours and conduct drunk and drive checks on the national highway increasing the usage of the speed guns.
DIG Eluru range GVG Ashok Kumar while participating in the review over zoom video conference, suggested that the number of CC cameras should be increased, and also increase the night beats utilising modern information technology to prevent crime rate.
Use drone technology for surveillance of the open areas and make best use of mobile face recognition equipment and finger print scanners during night rounds, he added.
