STAR Hospitals launches next-gen robotic surgery system for joint replacements in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, May 21 (UNI) STAR Hospitals, Nanakramguda, has launched a cutting-edge New-Gen Robotic Surgery System for joint replacement, marking a major advancement in orthopaedic care.
Designed for greater surgical precision, faster recovery, and reduced pain, the system enhances outcomes for patients suffering from chronic knee problems.
The technology enables CT-free, real-time 3D mapping, ensuring personalised procedures, minimal tissue disruption, and faster rehabilitation, with many patients able to walk within 24 hours post-surgery.
Senior orthopaedic surgeons Dr Shashikanth, Dr Praveen Mereddy, and Dr Veda Prakash emphasised that the robot-assisted system significantly improves implant alignment, joint stability, and patient satisfaction.
This launch positions STAR Hospitals among the elite centres in South India offering robotic joint replacement surgery, reaffirming its status as a leader in advanced, compassionate healthcare, a hospital statement said on Wednesday.
