Street plays to be held under Sankalp Seva Abhiyan with message that everyone can contribute to nation building: Mishra

New Delhi, Sept 22 (UNI) The staging of the “Namo Seva Ki Ankahi Kahaniyan” street play series commenced across the national capital on Tuesday, as part of the Sankalp Seva Abhiyan to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 25 years of public service.
The series will showcase the inspiring life, achievements and appeals related to Viksit Bharat by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while the initiative aims to inspire the people of Delhi to participate in the campaign to make the city clean, beautiful and developed.
The information was shared by Delhi's Minister for Art, Culture and Languages, Kapil Mishra during a press conference held at the secretariat on Tuesday.
Through these street plays, the message will be conveyed that every citizen can contribute to Delhi and the nation by engaging in acts of service at their own level, he said, adding that country’s achievements will not only make people feel proud, but will also inspire them to contribute towards nation-building.
Mishra also said that the life and working style of PM Modi are a source of inspiration and a message for every section of society.
Through the street plays, people will be encouraged towards pursuing objectives such as Swachhata Hi Seva, Vocal for Local and education for girls.
These plays will also showcase decisions taken during the Modi's 25 years of public service, governance and political life that have transformed and improved lives, the minister stated.
Information about welfare schemes for the poor and farmers, including PM Awas Yojana, SBM toilets, Saubhagya Yojana, Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Bharat, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi and Jal Jeevan Mission, will also be presented through the street plays.
Mishra said that the Sahitya Kala Parishad under the Department of Art, Culture and Languages will organise street plays at approximately 1,250 locations across Delhi.
Approximately 30 to 35 street play teams will simultaneously perform at different locations across Delhi, while events will also be organised in settlements, colonies, major malls, markets and high-footfall locations. UNI APS CDS
