Panchkula, Sept 18 (UNI) Haryana Energy, Transport and Labour Minister Anil Vij on Friday handed over Rs 10 lakh financial assistance to Ankush Jain, son of late Chandigarh journalist Rajesh Jain, and Rs 40,000 to Yamunanagar journalist Gulab Singh under a Media Wellbeing Association (MWB) initiative.
Panchkula, Sept 10 (UNI) Police have arrested five alleged drug smugglers in four cases and seized 183 grams of heroin and 1.118 kg of charas worth around Rs 40 lakh, uncovering suspected drug supply links extending to Punjab and Himachal Pradesh, an official said on Thursday.
