Panchkula, Sept 15 (UNI) The Haryana State Commission for Women has taken suo motu cognisance of the alleged intentional hitting of a woman biker by a vehicle in Gurugram and directed police to take prompt legal action, including registration of an FIR under relevant provisions, besides ensuring the woman''s safety.
Chandigarh, Sep 8 (UNI) Shiromani Akali Dal MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal on Tuesday met National Commission for Women Chairperson Vijaya Kishore Rahatkar in New Delhi and sought the Commission’s intervention over allegations linking Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann’s wife, Dr Gurpreet Kaur Mann, to an alleged demand for Rs 5 crore to suppress rape and abduction cases.
