Patna, Jun 26 (UNI) Senior RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav on Thursday said he would change Bihar in all aspects if voted to power, and charged Nitish Kumar government of doing nothing during his long tenure of twenty years.
Yadav while addressing a meeting of students' parliament organised by his party here, said that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was given twenty years for serving people of Bihar since 2005 but he could not do anything in the state. Bihar remained a backward state on all development parameters and it was reflected in several reports released by Niti Ayog, highest policy making body of the country, he added.
"Youths are not getting opportunities to earn their livelihood due to prevailing corruptions in all departments of the state government", RJD leader said adding that leadership of Bihar had become directionless in last twenty years. In a short tenure of 17 months of Grand Alliance government, 4.5 lakhs teachers were declared state government employees while 1.32 lakh posts were created in Health department and 700 doctors were dismissed from government services due to their long absence from duties without informing their higher authorities, he added.
Yadav said that provision of 65 percent reservation for backwards and deprived was made during the regime of Grand Alliance government but its benefits were not being given to them. It was failure of Chief Minister Kumar to exert pressure on Narendra Modi government in placing 65 percent reservation provision in 9th schedule of the constitution as the matter was taken to court where it was stayed, he added.
"Had 65 percent reservation provision was placed in 9th schedule of the constitution, the court would not have stayed due to its insulation from judicial intervention", RJD leader said adding that instead of recalling the past, Chief Minister Kumar should formulate policies to push Bihar on path of development and prosperity. Kumar had been only recalling alleged failures during the RJD regime rather than taking strong decision to change the scenario in all sectors, he stressed.
