Telangana Govt announces Rs 10 lakh ex-gratia, Indiramma house and job for Pravalika’s family

Hyderabad, Nov 4 (UNI) The Telangana Government has announced a job, an Indiramma house and an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh for the family of deceased RTC conductor Gundla Pravalika, following the directions of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.
Additionally, the family will receive Rs. 1 crore under an accidental insurance cover through a bank as part of an RTC initiative.
Transport and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar and TGSRTC Vice-Chairman and Managing Director Y Nagireddy paid their respects to Pravalika’s mortal remains at the Osmania Hospital mortuary. The Minister consoled her mother and assured her that the government and the entire RTC family would stand by them during this difficult time.
Expressing deep sorrow over her death, Ponnam Prabhakar said it was painful to lose a member of the RTC family despite efforts to provide her with the best possible medical treatment. He said the accused, who was initially booked for attempted murder, would now face a murder charge and stringent legal action would be ensured.
The Minister stressed that the safety and welfare of RTC employees were as important as passenger comfort. He appealed to passengers to lodge complaints with higher authorities in case of any grievances against RTC staff instead of taking the law into their own hands. Similarly, employees were also expected to maintain discipline and ensure passenger convenience.
Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also expressed deep shock and sorrow over Pravalika’s demise and conveyed his heartfelt condolences to her family. He assured them of the government’s full support and assistance.
