Telangana’s Singareni invites applications from employees dismissed for unauthorised absence

Hyderabad, Nov 3 (UNI) The Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) has decided to reconsider the cases of former employees dismissed for unauthorised absence from duty between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2025, by offering them an opportunity to seek re-employment.
The management issued orders on Tuesday, constituting a High-Power Committee to examine the cases and consider their re-employment.
The decision follows a request made by public representatives from the coal belt during a recent meeting with Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, seeking an opportunity for dismissed employees to return to work. Responding to the request, Bhatti directed Singareni management to examine the issue.
As per the eligibility criteria, applicants should be aged 46 years or below as on April 1, 2026, and must have completed at least 100 muster days in any two of the five calendar years preceding the period of dismissal.
They should also be medically fit for appointment to a Category-I post as General Assistant Trainee (Underground).
Eligible former employees have been asked to submit applications in the prescribed format to the head of the mine or department where they last worked.
The last date for submission of applications is November 14, 2026. Area General Managers have been instructed to scrutinise applications and forward eligible cases to the concerned authorities for further action.
Applicants can contact officials of their respective mines or departments for further details, the management added.
