Telangana: TGFDC celebrates decade of forest development and sustainability

Hyderabad, May 5 (UNI) The Telangana Forest Development Corporation (TGFDC) on Monday announced the launch of its 10-year celebrations, marking a decade of dedication to sustainable forestry, eco-tourism, and green innovation in the state.
The launch event was inaugurated by TGFDC Vice Chairman and Managing Director Dr. G. Chandrashekar Reddy at a ceremonial function attended by senior officers and staff of the Corporation.
Speaking at the inauguration, Dr. Reddy emphasised the importance of sustainable forest management and community participation. "TGFDC's journey over the last 10 years reflects our deep-rooted commitment to green growth and ecological stewardship. Our focus has been on building a self-sustaining, profitable, and people-oriented organisation that benefits the forests, the state, and its people."
The 10-day Decade Festival” will feature a series of statewide programmes:
These celebrations aim to highlight the Corporation’s achievements, connect with stakeholders, and promote environmental consciousness among the public.
The closing ceremony on May 14 will be held at the Botanical Garden, Hyderabad, and will include award presentations to honor the outstanding contributions of individuals and divisions within TGFDC.
TGFDC invites all stakeholders, environmental enthusiasts, and members of the public to join in the celebrations and be a part of its ongoing journey toward a greener and more sustainable Telangana.
In this programme, TGFDC Executive Director Eco-Tourism L. Ranjith Nayak IFS, CGM D. Venkateshwar Reddy, GM Dr. G. Skylab, Financial Controller Kiran Kumar, Asst. Director of Eco-Tourism V. Thanuja, Plantation Manager V. Lakshma Reddy, FRO Srinivas, Projects Manager Suman, Head Naturalist Akhil, Aparanjani, Samson Raju were present.
