Tiger Shroff firing case: Court extends police custody of 4 accused till Oct 28

Mumbai , Oct 26 (UNI) A court here today extended the police custody of four accused persons arrested in connection with the alleged firing incident involving Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff till October 28 on expiry of their police custody.
The court had earlier remanded the four accused to police custody until October 26 after declining the Crime Branch’s request to keep them in custody until October 31.
While moving the remand application, police informed the court that they need to collect the voice sample of the accused hence their custodial interrogation is necessary .
The accused have been identified as Kunal (21) and Sumit (19), both from Haryana’s Sonipat district, and Radha and Babita (both aged 23), who hail from Uttar Pradesh. They were apprehended in Delhi and subsequently brought to Mumbai on transit remand.
According to the Crime Branch, the firing was allegedly orchestrated by Anil Pandit (32), a suspected associate of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang who is believed to be operating from the United States.
Pandit, who is wanted in the case, reportedly claimed responsibility for the October 18 incident in a social media post.
Investigators have alleged that Kunal and Sumit procured a pistol and 20 rounds of ammunition from Amritsar on Pandit’s instructions. Radha and Babita allegedly brought the weapon to Mumbai and handed it over to members of the conspiracy who had been arrested earlier in Kota, Rajasthan.
The firing left the actor relatively unharmed, while his driver and another person sustained injuries.
During the previous court hearing, the defence challenged the police remand application, arguing that it did not provide specific details about the alleged supply of the firearm.
Eleven persons have so far been arrested in connection with the case. The accused face charges including attempt to murder.
