Tripura urban bodies registered 6.31 lakh voters

Agartala, Oct 3 (UNI) The draft electoral register for the 2026 Municipal General Election recorded a total of 6,31,388 electors distributed across Tripura's 21 designated urban local bodies.
The statistical analysis demonstrated that female electors exceed male electors by 13,377 individuals, with Agartala representing more than half of the aggregate urban electorate.
The preliminary electoral data indicates 3,08,983 male voters, 3,22,360 female voters, and 45 voters classified within the Third Gender category.
The gender distribution reveals a substantial female preponderance. Among the total 6,31,388 registered electors, female voters constitute approximately 51.06pc of the electorate, whereas male voters represent approximately 48.94pc.
These figures consequently demonstrate that women maintain a greater numerical representation in the preliminary electoral registers for the urban local bodies included in the notification.
The Third Gender category comprises 45 electors, constituting a negligible fraction of the total electorate.
Agartala maintains a total registered electorate of 3,62,632, representing approximately 57.43pc of the aggregate electorate documented in the preliminary list.
Within Agartala, the female electorate surpasses the male electorate by 7,602 voters, thereby establishing a particularly pronounced gender differential in the state's principal urban local body.
The 36 Third Gender electors documented in Agartala constitute the preponderant majority of the 45 Third Gender electors enumerated across all 21 urban bodies.
Sabroom Nagar Panchayat maintains the most limited electorate among the enumerated urban bodies, with a total registered electorate of 5,740, comprising 2,926 female voters.
The most significant characteristic remains the female numerical superiority, with women surpassing men by 13,377 voters throughout the 21 urban bodies statewide.
Concurrently, the exceptionally substantial electorate of Agartala ensures that modifications to the capital's electoral register exert considerable influence upon the comprehensive statewide urban statistics. UNI BB SAS
