Union Home Minister Amit Shah's two-day visit to Kolhapur cancelled due to ill health

Kolhapur, Sep 19 (UNI) The two-day visit of union Home Minister Amit Shah to Kolhapur district, scheduled to begin from this evening, has been cancelled.
According to reports, the visit was cancelled due to the Minister's ill health.
Earlier, union Home Minister Amit Shah who had arrived in Hubli on Friday night to attend some inauguration events there, skipped the programmes on Saturday due to ill-health.
Shah has left for Delhi from Hubli.
It was reported that Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, and Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Sunetra Pawar, who were also set to visit Kolhapur to meet the union Minister, have also cancelled their visits.
Shah arrived in Hubli in the morning for a program of the KLE Society.
However, due to his ill health and feeling fatigue, he did not proceed for the program there, and on the doctor's advice took rest and later left for Delhi, reports said.
After the program in Hubli, Shah was to inaugurate the administrative building of former MP Annasaheb Jolle's Bireshwar Patsanstha in Eksamba Taluka Chikkodi and then come to Kolhapur in the evening.
On Sunday, he was to lay the foundation stone for a special project at the Jawahar Sugar Factory in Hubli.
The administration had also made elaborate preparations for his visit.
However, all these programs have now been cancelled.
DIO Varsha Patole said the union Home Minister's tour has been cancelled.

Maha: Mumbai fuel dealers warn of shut down against UPI MDR from Oct 15

Mumbai, Sep 19 (UNI) The Petrol Dealers’ Association, Mumbai, has written a letter to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) requesting a complete exemption for fuel retailers from the proposed UPI MDR charges, even as it also warned of not accepting UPI payments at fuel stations across the city from October 15, if MDR (Merchant Discount Rate) charges are imposed on UPI transactions above Rs 2,000.
