UP: Australian tourist comes to Ayodhya after hearing about its Deepotsav celebrations in Malaysia

Ayodhya, Nov 6 (UNI) Diwali preparations among the Indian community in Malaysia sparked Shane's interest in visiting Ayodhya, prompting the Australian national to travel to the temple town to witness its grand Deepotsav celebrations.
Now, sitting at Ram's ghat, as Shane observes the preparations for Deepotsav, the sparkle in his eyes and the joy on his face is undeniable. Ayodhya, adorned with street lights, glittering squares, LED screens, lamp decorations, and religious-cultural performances, appears like a wonderful world to him. In Shane's words, this experience in Ayodhya is amazing and incredible.
Shane, an Australian resident, embarked on a spiritual journey to India. Previously, he was in Malaysia, where he learned about the festival and the Deepotsav in Ayodhya after witnessing Diwali preparations among the Indian community. Shane explained that he had heard about Ayodhya in Malaysia. This sparked a desire to see how Diwali is celebrated in Ramnagari. He expressed his delight in visiting Ayodhya. The atmosphere is filled with positive energy. He was amazed by the preparations and lights for Deepotsav. For him, it is not just a celebration, but an opportunity to experience India's spiritual traditions up close.
Shane is also delighted by the lights adorning the streets of Ramnagari and the cultural performances at the intersections. The grand decorations at Lata Mangeshkar Chowk, the displays on LED screens, and the religious and folk dances being performed at various locations bring Ayodhya's cultural diversity to life.
Shane stated that the preparations here are impressive. He enjoys seeing different cultures and traditions come together. The way Indian culture and spiritual heritage are being showcased through the Deepotsav is a truly humbling experience for him. He also praised the security arrangements in Ayodhya, saying that while he comes from Australia, he feels completely safe here.
According to Shane, Ayodhya is a beautiful city and the atmosphere is soothing.
Shane will stay in Ayodhya until Monday and, after witnessing the grandeur of Deepotsav and Diwali, will travel to Varanasi. For Shane, who is on a spiritual journey across India, the visit to Ramnagari has become special. The rapid development of Ayodhya after the construction of the Shri Ram Temple under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expanded Ramnagari's recognition globally. The magnificent temple, the developing infrastructure, the well-equipped roads, the cultural events, and the worldwide fame of Deepotsav are also attracting foreign tourists.
Shane, who arrived from Australia after hearing the name of Ayodhya in Malaysia, is a reflection of this changing Ramnagari. The echoes of the festival of lights, which have reached across the seven seas, indicate that Ayodhya is no longer just a centre of faith but is also becoming a major stop on the world's spiritual journey.
