Women Up TN, Impactree inks MoU with TNUHDB

Chennai, June 5 (UNI) Women Up Tamil Nadu and Impactree Livelihood Foundation have entered into a strategic partnership with the Tamil Nadu Urban Habitat Development Board (TNUHDB) to launch a statewide initiative focused on significantly increasing the income of rural and urban women entrepreneurs in Tamil Nadu’s settlements.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Valli Arunachalam, Founder of Women Up Tamil Nadu, Ms. Rajashri Sai, Founder of Impactree Livelihood Foundation and Mr. Anshul Mishra, MD of TNUHDB.
It marks a pivotal commitment to placing women’s economic empowerment at the core of urban and rural transformation with targeted interventions, deep community engagement, and institutional capacity building.
The initiative aims not only to boost individual incomes but to reshape how women participate in and lead local economies.
Hands-on training will be provided to women entrepreneurs to help them scale their businesses, improve their access to markets, and strengthen support systems critical to their long-term growth.
The program also includes a structured fellowship for government and community personnel that will equip them with the necessary skills and tools to support and sustain women-led enterprises at the grassroots level.
In addition to on-ground implementation, the partnership will focus on creating thought leadership in women’s entrepreneurship—shaping policies, practices, and conversations that prioritize inclusive economic development.
