Creating new opportunities for youth is key to the development of new Uttar Pradesh: CM Yogi

Lucknow, Oct 26 (UNI) Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has stated that the development of the new Uttar Pradesh is based on expanding public facilities, encouraging investment, and creating new opportunities for youth through innovation.
The Chief Minister wrote on the social media platform 'X' that today, on the sacred birth anniversary of the first poet Maharishi Valmiki, he will have the privilege of furthering this commitment to public welfare and public good in his holy land, Bithoor. On this occasion, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for 48 development projects worth over Rs. 411 crore in the Bilhaur and Bithoor assembly constituencies in Bithoor, Kanpur city. On this occasion, certificates will also be distributed to beneficiaries of various public welfare schemes.
CM Yogi wrote that on the one hand, there are development projects that improve people's lives, and on the other, investment and innovation opportunities that shape the future of youth. Furthering this development vision, I will inaugurate the GCC Innovation Summit 2026 in Lucknow. MoUs signed with global companies and universities on this occasion will open doors to new possibilities for technological research, innovation, and high-skilled employment.
Under the successful guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the double-engine government is committed to ensuring that the benefits of development reach the last person in society and that the youth of Uttar Pradesh have the opportunity to establish a global identity on their own soil.
The Chief Minister wrote that today symbolises Uttar Pradesh's journey, in which new possibilities for the future are being created, drawing inspiration from its glorious heritage. On one hand, the state is celebrating the birth anniversary of the first poet, Maharishi Valmiki, who, through the Ramayana, introduced generations to the life of Lord Shri Ram and the ideals of Ramrajya. On the other hand, the GCC Innovation Summit 2026 is providing an opportunity to reorient Uttar Pradesh's potential as a major hub for global technology, innovation, and a knowledge-based economy.
The Chief Minister wrote that Maharishi Valmiki's Ramayana is not only our cultural heritage, but also a tradition of wisdom, dignity, and public welfare that has guided society for ages. Today, there is an opportunity to advance this knowledge tradition in a modern context, where science and technology connect the talents of youth with new opportunities and their potential is recognised globally.
Before 2017, Uttar Pradesh neither respected heritage nor recognised science and development. Under self-absorbed governance, expanding investment and employment opportunities commensurate with the state's potential and industrial and technological capabilities was a major challenge.
The Chief Minister said that today Uttar Pradesh is developing new possibilities through improved connectivity, electronics manufacturing, digital infrastructure, and investment-oriented policies. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has emerged as the "GCC Capital of the World," while Uttar Pradesh is now becoming the hub of India's electronics ecosystem. Maharishi Valmiki's spiritual pursuits guided Indian society for ages. Today, the power of knowledge and innovation is shaping the future of Uttar Pradesh's youth.
The vision of a developed Uttar Pradesh will be realised through this integration, in which heritage fosters values, education empowers, and technology paves new paths to prosperity. While proud of its cultural identity, the state plays a strong role globally in India's knowledge-based economy.
