The projects are expected to declutter major traffic intersections, that not only affect the commuters, but in a way also add to pollution.
The centre and state government aim to make Kalindi Kunj intersection congestion and signal free, and ensure better connectivity.
Delhi government is also working on to improve traffic near Mahipalpur Shiv Murti stretch, and also ease movement on the Peeragarhi-Mundka route, and further on the Rohtak Road.
Other than these, Delhi government is also going to develop a corridor along both sides of the Sahibi River, mostly known as the Najafgarh Drain which is going to be around 60 km-long, which is expected to ease traffic congestion across West and Southwest Delhi, once completed. Notably, once constructed, this is going to be an important alternative intra-city route, which will connect outer Delhi areas in South West Delhi, to the more central side of the city.
Similarly, work and planing is also underway to improve connectivity in different parts of the city. UNI APS CDS
