DSGMC prez files complaint against AAP chief & associates

New Delhi, Oct 11 (UNI) Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee president Harmeet Singh Kalka today said that a formal complaint has been filed with Deputy Commissioner of Police, New Delhi District, against AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal and his associates over the alleged disruption at Gurdwara Bangla Sahib.
Speaking to reporters here, he said that strict action has been sought to protect the sanctity of Guru Ghar from political activities.
Kalka alleged that on Saturday, several protestors had entered the Gurdwara premises with backpacks like normal youth, however later on when they were in a good number (around 50) they suddenly took out banners from their bags and did sloganeering, trying to show-off that they are protesting inside the Guru Ghar, which was against the sanctity of the place.
He claimed that it was later known that these people were associated with the AAP, and this was something that needs to be investigated.
Police, that had come to the passage connecting two different sides of the Gurdwara entries, is being shown as they had entered the premises.
He claimed that as all of this was happening, AAP MLAs, their workers, began posting on social media about police presence in Gurdwara, trying to drag the Guru Ghar into politics.
People were told that the police had entered the 'Guru Ghar', whereas not a single police officer even stepped onto the Gurudwara's steps, Kalka clarified.
He asserted that Gurdwara is not a place to stage protest, and no one would be allowed to do so in Guru Ghar, whichever party the person may be representing.
There was no issue with anyone coming to the Gurdwara, however, staging protests is not allowed inside the 'Guru Ghar', he said.
He said it could be clearly seen in videos that they brought banners and posters and started raising slogans, which are actions that were contrary to Guru Ghar’s sanctity. UNI AP SS
