Haryana: Six arrested in Karnal

Karnal, Oct 10 (UNI) Karnal Police today arrested six persons in separate operations, including four accused of robbing a youth at knifepoint and two proclaimed offenders wanted in assault cases dating back to 2018, officials said.
A Crime Investigation Agency (CIA-3) team arrested Rohit alias Patha, Vikas alias Chhota Shera, Sawan and Ansh Sagar alias Anshu in connection with an October 6 snatching incident in the Banso Gate area.
According to police, the accused allegedly intercepted a youth while he was going to purchase a cake, held a knife against his neck and abdomen, snatched two gold earrings and threatened to kill him if he reported the incident.
Police said the four accused collectively faced 24 previously registered criminal cases — 10 against Rohit, six against Vikas and four each against Sawan and Ansh Sagar.
The arrests were made by a team led by CIA-3 in-charge Inspector Ajay Sangwan and Assistant Sub-Inspector Kuldeep Singh. The accused were taken to the crime scene for identification, and a court granted four days of police remand for further investigation.
In another operation, a Sadar Bazaar police post team led by Assistant Sub-Inspector Satish Kumar arrested two proclaimed offenders, identified as Deepak alias Bohli and Monty, who were wanted in three assault-related cases registered at City Police Station in 2018.
Both accused were produced before a court and sent to judicial custody. UNI KK SS
