Rahul Gandhi, Kejriwal holding city hostage & destroying businesses: Malhotra

New Delhi, Oct 11 (UNI) Taking a dig at Rahul Gandhi and Arvind Kejriwal over the anti- CEC protests, Delhi BJP President Harsh Malhotra today alleged that nowadays, the people of the country, particularly Delhiites, have been witnessing a new game where the two opposition leaders have held the city hostage, trying to prove as to who can create a bigger spectacle.
Malhotra said that a contest has been underway between Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal for the past two years, and it has now reached its peak under the pretext of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, and both leaders are trying to establish who among them is the bigger anarchist, the BJP leader alleged.
He said that rejected by the people of the country election after election, Rahul Gandhi and Kejriwal have been holding Delhi hostage for the past week, where people are facing the music due to the opposition’s protests.
Malhotra alleged that starting October 5 to 7, the Aam Aadmi Party staged its drama for three days, and then on October 8 and 9, the Congress followed suit, turning its protests into a spectacle event, with breakfast at Khan Chacha and lunch at Sagar Ratna.
On October 10, the AAP-sponsored CJP and the Communists took to the streets. Today, October 11, they celebrated a “free-for-all Sunday,” and tomorrow, the Congress is set to stage another round of political theatrics, Malhotra said.
The Delhi BJP president, drawing attention towards traders and daily-wage labourers, said they are bearing the brunt of the contest between Congress leader and AAP chief.
During the crucial business season of Navratri, Durga Puja, Ramlila and Diwali, the political theatrics of Rahul Gandhi, Kejriwal and the Communists have pushed a large section of Delhi’s population into financial distress, Delhi BJP chief alleged.
People of the city now want these three to put an end to their political drama and allow people to earn their livelihoods during this important business season, Malhotra asserted. UNI AP SS
