Salman Khan schools trolls for body shaming on Bigg Boss 20

Mumbai, Sep 20 (UNI) Bhaijaan of Bollywood Salman Khan took on the culture of online trolling and body-shaming during the latest episode of 'Bigg Boss 20', particularly questioning the criticism directed at women after pregnancy.
Speaking to the contestants on Weekend Ka Vaar, Salman questioned why women are subjected to criticism simply for gaining weight after childbirth. He pointed out that pregnancy naturally changes a woman’s body and said actresses can return to fitness when they are ready to resume work.
“Why do you troll somebody who gets pregnant? Pregnant hone ke baad everyone puts on weight...Pregnant thi toh weight gain kar liya, wapas movies mein aayegi toh fit ho jayegi. She wanted to spend time with her family,” Salman said. (translates: Everyone puts on weight after getting pregnant... she gained weight because she was pregnant, but she'll get fit again when she returns to the movies.)
Visibly furious over constant commentary on celebrities ageing and their bodies, Khan removed his hat and T-shirt during the episode, calling his makeup artist Raju to wipe off his makeup in a challenge to internet critics.
The 60-year-old actor's remarks came amid social media chatter over Katrina Kaif’s appearance at the Ambanis’ Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, where some users commented on her post-pregnancy weight. The actor became a mother to son Vihaan in November 2025.
