"Will urge PM to inaugurate new terminal of Patna Airport": Ravishankar

Patna, Mar 31 (UNI) Former Union Minister and senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad, MP said that he would request Prime Minister Narendra Modi to inaugurate the new terminal building of Patna Airport.
Prasad told news persons here on Sunday that he would try to seek the consent of the Prime Minister for inaugurating the terminal during his next visit to Bihar . He said the expansion of the airport would provide better facilities to the commuters.
Describing it as a major transformation for the people of Bihar, Prasad said that
the new terminal building and other facilities were being constructed at an estimated expenditure of Rs 1400 crore. The BJP leader said that in addition to the expansion of Jai Prakash Narayan International Airport Patna, new airports have been proposed to be constructed in Bihta and Purnia. Two New Green Field airports have been announced in the new budget to be constructed in Rajgir and Bhagalpur under the Udan scheme.
Prasad also requested the authorities concerned to complete the first phase of the under construction terminal building at Patna Airport By April this year for providing the facilities to the commuters at the earliest.
He also requested the project manager to display the traditions and legacy of Bihar at the new terminal building.
