Ajit Pawar lauds Maha Assembly resolution recommending Bharat Ratna to Jyotirao, Savitribai

Mumbai, Mar 24 (UNI) Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar expressed his happiness on Monday over the unanimous resolution approved by the Maharashtra Assembly recommending to the Central Government for conferring the country's highest civilian honour Bharat Ratna to Jyotirao Phule and Savitribai Phule.
Deputy Chief Minister Pawar thanked all the members of the Legislature who cooperated for the unanimous approval of this resolution which respects the sentiments of the entire countrymen.
Mahatma Jyotirao Phule and Savitribai Phule started the first school for girls in Pune and opened the doors of education to women. The work done by the Phule couple to take education to the weak, deprived, Bahujan community in the society is extraordinary, said Pawar. UNI VKB SSP

Construction workers to get pension of Rs 12,000 per annum: Maha minister
