AP: Private schools oppose officials’ undue interference

Kakinada , July 3(UNI) The private educational institutions united federation (UPEIF) at its meeting here today appealed to the state government to protect their rights and not to take unilateral actions against them .
The federation legal advisor M Vijay while briefing the deliberations of the meeting to media persons , said the meeting alleged that some officers were bringing pressures on the private unaided schools to give admissions without considering eligibility.
The officials also warned the management their recognition would be cancelled even without serving show cause notices.
Vijay said the officials should change their attitude and not harass the management.
The private schools are providing education to over 55 percent of the students without any burden on the government. Of these, 85 percent of schools were providing education to students charging less fees when compared to government schools' expenditure on each student, he added.
Vijay further clarified that the undue interference of officials in private schools administration would adversely affect the management of ten thousand schools, three lakh staff and forty lakh students.
