Itanagar, Mar 16 (UNI) Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Sunday urged young individuals to “not wait for opportunities but create them”, emphasizing the importance of mastering skills, being self-employed, and shaping one’s own success.
The Chief Minister made this call while highlighting the inspiring journey of a young entrepreneur from Shergaon (West Kameng), Dorjee Norbu Lama, who has carved his own path in skilled fabrication work through self-learning and determination.
In a social media post, Khandu emphasized the vast potential in skilled jobs and praised Lama’s initiative in becoming self-reliant.
“There is immense potential in skilled jobs, and it’s inspiring to see young individuals taking charge of their destiny. Dorjee Norbu Lama, son of Tashi Namgey Lama, is a shining example of self-reliance,” he wrote in the post.
Lama completed his schooling at VKV and pursued an ITI Wireman course in Roing before independently learning fabrication work. Today, he is successfully running his own skilled fabrication business in Shergaon, setting an example for others.
Lama's journey, according to CM Khandu, is a testament to the power of self-learning and hard work.
Encouraging youth to follow a similar path, he urged them to not wait for opportunities but create them.
“Master a skill, be self-employed, and carve out your own success. The future belongs to those who dare to build it with their own hands!”
