Arunachal: Mother-son duo killed in alleged arson, suspect detained

Itanagar, Mar 24 (UNI) In a tragic incident of suspected arson, a 26-year-old man and his 65-year-old mother were charred to death after they were trapped inside their residence at Sanglo Putung-III village, near Modirijo, Itanagar on Sunday, a senior police officer said on Monday.
The deceased have been identified as Ruhi Tame (26), and Ruhi Yania (65).
According to police reports, a fire outbreak was reported at 6.40 AM on March 23, 2025, via a telephonic alert. Emergency responders rushed to the scene, but both victims had already perished in the flames.
