Arunachal: Police launches inquiry into alleged Pak flag display on hotel hoarding

Itanagar, May 15 (UNI) Following a viral social media post dated May 14, 2025, alleging the display of a Pakistan flag on a hotel hoarding in Nirjuli, the Nirjuli Police have initiated a prompt enquiry to verify the authenticity and context of the incident.
Authorities are investigating whether the image in question pertains to the Pakistan national flag or an Islamic religious symbol.
According to the Superintendent of Police, Naharlagun, Mihin Gambo, necessary legal action will be taken based on the findings of the inquiry.
The police urged citizens to refrain from drawing premature conclusions or reacting emotionally, as such actions could lead to unnecessary tension and public disorder.
In a public appeal, the police emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and communal unity.
"The cooperation of the public is vital in ensuring law and order and upholding communal harmony," the SP stated.
