Bandi Sanjay warns BRS, Cong Corporators over support to AIMIM in MLC Polls

Hyderabad, Apr 12 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Saturday issued a strong warning to BRS and Congress corporators ahead of the coming GHMC MLC elections, cautioning them against supporting the AIMIM.

Speaking to the media after offering prayers at Akash Puri Hanuman Temple in Goshamahal on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, Bandi Sanjay said, “If corporators support the AIMIM candidate, they should remember it is the Hindu community, not AIMIM leaders, who will vote for them in future elections.” He urged them to consider public sentiment and the views of their families before casting their votes.

Highlighting the unity displayed during events like the Hindu Ekta Yatra and Hanuman Jayanti, Sanjay warned that the Hindu community would strongly oppose any move seen as siding with AIMIM.

Responding to allegations by KTR about BJP’s involvement in land deals, Sanjay challenged KTR to present proof. “If there’s a broker, name him. Why hasn’t KTR revealed any evidence?”, he said.

Rebutting criticism of the Centre over ration rice, he stated, “It’s Modi rice, not Congress rice. The Centre bears the cost of subsidized rice. If Congress disagrees, let them reject central support officially.”

He also dismissed speculation about rifts within the party, reaffirming Raja Singh’s position as a dedicated BJP leader.

Asserting BJP's growing influence, he said the party now represents over 50 per cent of Telangana and questioned why Congress and BRS could not field candidates in the local MLC polls. “We have the strength, and past MLC wins prove it,” he declared.
