TTD Chairman lashes out against 'fabricated allegations' over cow deaths by Karunakar Reddy

Tirupati, Apr 12 (UNI) Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) Chairman B.R. Naidu on Saturday lashed out against "false and fabricated allegations being spread by former TTD chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy regarding the death of cows in TTD’s Sri Venkateswara (SV) cowsheds".
Terming the allegation as "deeply unfortunate”, Naidu posted on X”: “It is disheartening that such baseless claims are being made against the TTD Trust Board, which is wholly devoted to serving Lord Sri Venkateswara and upholding Hindu Dharma.”

In Hinduism, the cow is revered as "Gomata", holding an unparalleled sacred status. Since Vedic times, cows have been worshipped with the same devotion as the gods themselves, he said.
“While the death of any cow is a cause for sorrow, it is highly unethical to exploit natural deaths—whether due to illness, old age, or accidents—for political gain and false propaganda,” the Chairman said .
"Even more malicious is the deliberate attempt to ‘mislead the public’ by using images of cows that died elsewhere and falsely attributing them to TTD cowsheds," he said.
Naidu urged the public "to remain vigilant and not fall prey to such deceitful misinformation".
"Serving cows is akin to serving Goddess Godevi.” Naidu tweeted.
“We appeal to all devotees to reject and condemn any attempts to tarnish this sacred service for political motives,” he said.
"With the blessings of Lord Sri Venkateswara, we are confident that devotees' faith in TTD’s cow protection initiatives and its commitment to Hindu Dharma will only grow stronger," he added.
