Contract of 'Jeth Mela' postponed due to unavoidable reasons

Bahraich (UP), Mar 23 (UNI) The contract of the famous 'Jeth Mela', held every year at the dargah of Syed Salar Masood Ghazi in Bahraich city of Uttar Pradesh was postponed on Sunday, sources said here.
Sources said that the contract of the fair was scheduled for 2025-26, but the Dargah Management Committee has decided to postpone it till further orders due to some unavoidable reasons.
It may be noted that the Syed Salar Masood Ghazi Dargah Mela is celebrated every year in the month of Jeth and it holds special significance among the local devotees. There is no clear indication yet of the reasons for the postponement of the contract by the Dargah Management Committee, due to which there is confusion among the local people.
This decision is expected to affect religious activities in the area. It is hoped that soon the Dargah Management Committee will provide clarity on this matter so that devotees and local people can get the right information about the upcoming programmes.
