Couple die after being struck by lightning in UP's Basti

Basti (UP), May 1 (UNI) A farmer couple died after being struck by lightning while working in the field in Walterganj area of Basti district here in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, police sources said.
They said the incident took place when the couple Ramcharan (60) and Chandravati (55), residents of Rehar Jungle village under Walterganj police station area, were working in the field. "Suddenly the weather changed and lightning struck the couple, causing severe burns to them and leading to their death," they said.
Police sources said that action is being taken by the police to get the post-mortem of the bodies done on the complaint of the deceased family.
