Day temp above normal at a few places over Jammu-Kashmir

Pune, Apr 16 (UNI) Day temperatures were markedly above normal (5.1°C or more) at a few places over Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad.
Appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at isolated places Punjab, Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan and Goa; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at many places over Punjab, Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan and Goa; at a few places over west Rajasthan and Gujarat
state; at isolated places over west Madhya Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Telangana, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam. These were markedly below normal (-5.1°C or less) at isolated places over Bihar, Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura; below normal (-3.0°C to -1.6°C) at isolated places over east Madhya Pradesh, east Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and normal over rest parts of the country. Today, the highest maximum temperature of 45.5°C was reported at Barmer (west Rajasthan) over the country.
