Police officer Ranjit Kasle, who claimed about contract to encounter Walmik Karad, arrested from Pune

Pune, Apr 18 (UNI) Controversial police officer Ranjit Kasle from Beed district of Maharashtra was arrested from Pune here on Friday. Kasle, who claimed he had been offered a contract to eliminate Walmik Karad, has been suspended.
The Inspector General of Police of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar has suspended Kasle from the police service. The suspension order was issued on Friday.

Kasle had come into the news by making a statement about being offered a contract to encounter former NCP corporator Walmik Karad, the main accused in the murder of Massajog Sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh.
Kasle had also said that he was offered Rs 10 lakh to tamper with EVMs during the elections.

After making such statements, he was absconding from Beed district.
He signed into a hotel in the Swargate area of ​​Pune last night. Following a tip off, Kasle was arrested this morning from the hotel by a police team.
