Mumbai, Apr 16 (UNI) The first commercial flight from Mumbai to the newly constructed Amravati Airport successfully landed on Wednesday.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, minister Grish Mahajan, Chandershekhar Bawankhule and others were on board the historic flight operated by Alliance Air (Flight 9I633), which received a grand water cannon salute upon arrival.
In an X post, Fadnavis mentioned, "Take off from Mumbai for Amravati! A historic day as the Amravati Airport becomes operational today! Regional connectivity is now a reality, unlocking new horizons of growth, opportunity, and transformation!"
