Full logistic support to Army for smooth transportation: Rajasthan Dy CM Bairwa

Jaipur, May 9 (UNI) Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Premchand Bairwa on Friday directed the Transport Department to provide full logistic support for smooth transportation of the Army in view of the tense situation in the border areas of the state.

Bairwa, who also holds the Transport portfolio, gave these directions while chairing a meeting with officials of the Transport and Road Safety Department here]. He underscored that smooth transportation of the Army is paramount for national security and all efforts should be made to facilitate it.

He said Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has been consistently providing security directions for the border districts and in view of this, the Transport Department should keep Rajasthan State Road Transport Corporation (RSRTC) buses in reserve for emergency situations so that resources can be made available immediately when needed.

Bairwa instructed the officials to ensure logistic support for the transportation of the Indian Army and paramilitary forces so that they face no hindrance in movement. The district administration has also been directed to provide necessary logistic support from the perspective of disaster management.

The Deputy Chief Minister stressed that the Indian Army and paramilitary forces should have unhindered movement. The meeting also directed the Road Safety Department to provide necessary support in disaster management so that traffic can be managed smoothly in emergency situations.

Bairwa instructed RSRTC to ensure availability of necessary facilities like vehicles, drivers, and route planning for the district administration and paramilitary forces. He also directed that vacant posts in border districts should be filled up on priority and necessary steps be taken by the concerned departments. UNI XC AKT SSP
