Give befitting reply to Pahalgam terrorists: Darul Uloom

Saharanpur (UP), Apr 24 (UNI) Islamic seminary Darul Uloom Deoband and both factions of social and religious organisation, Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, on Thursday condemned the terrorist incident in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir and demanded strict action against the terrorists.
Darul Uloom's Chancellor Mufti Abul Qasim Nomani Banarasi said that the government should take all necessary steps to completely curb terrorism in Kashmir and give the harshest punishment to those who kill innocent people without reason and their masters.
Mufti Nomani said that Darul Uloom's full sympathy is with the victims' families. He called it cowardice and against the teachings of Islam.
Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind's national president, Maulana Arshad Madani said that the entire Islamic community is in deep shock.
"This is a brutal crime, the culprits should be given the harshest punishment. This incident has happened due to the complete failure of the Kashmir administration. It is surprising that there is no deployment of police and security forces at such an important tourist place (Vayasaran Valley). This is the reason why the terrorists succeeded in their evil intentions," he said.
Madani said that the aspect which is the biggest cause of concern is that this crime has been committed on the basis of religion, this is a big threat to the peace and unity of India. He expressed hope that all the responsible people understand their duty and perform their duty with dedication.
Former MP and head of the second faction of Jamiat, Maulana Mahmood Madani said that in Islam, killing an innocent is considered as the murder of the entire humanity.
"This heinous act of the terrorists is against both Islam and humanity. The government should be vigilant on every front and take every possible action. This act will also promote communalism, but the countrymen will not let their intentions succeed," he said.
Congress' Saharanpur Lok Sabha member, Imran Masood said that Kashmir was rapidly returning to an environment of peace and harmony.
"Terrorists do not like peace and tranquility. They have done the despicable act of disturbing it," he said.
This incident has shocked all peace-loving people, he added and demanded the government to take the strictest action.
