Haryana: DC, SP communicate with villagers on social evils in Dohar

Kaithal, Apr 24 (UNI) As part of the Haryana government's 'night stay' initiative, District Collector Preeti and newly appointed Superintendent of Police Aastha Modi established a direct dialogue with Dohar village residents on Wednesday.
The villagers had a direct conversation about the elimination of social evils and the villagers assured of cooperation in eliminating social evils like intoxication.
The officials gave information about the public welfare schemes under the leadership of Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini and called upon the eligible people to take advantage of them.
The villagers, on the other, requested to repair the broken drinking water pipeline in the village, to shut down illegal hoofs, open library in the village.
They also made many demands like pension, Ayushman card, electricity connection, Happy Card, Housing Pension, Housing Scheme, fixing the hanging wires in streets. DC assured to solve the problems.
While, SP Ms Modi assured that the police will work with the common man towards ending the crime.
She said that a special campaign is being run to curtail drug addiction.
