Governor in Council discusses projects taken up in Manipur

Imphal, May 15 (UNI) Development projects, administrative improvements, and steps to strengthen overall governance were discussed at a meeting of the Manipur Manipur ‘Governor-in-Council’ here on Thursday.
Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla chaired the meeting at the conference hall of Raj Bhavan.
Meanwhile representatives of Manipur Olympic Association, called on the Governor and issues were raised regarding the upgradation of two facilities - velodrome and fencing court in Khuman Lampak Sports Complex, as these facilities may be used for the upcoming 39th National Games scheduled to be held in 2027.
The Governor directed the Secretary, YAS, N. Praveen Singh, who was also present during the meeting to expedite ways for upgrading the existing facilities to ensure their timely completion.
Representatives of Mao Catholic Association also called on the Governor at Raj Bhavan, Imphal and sought his support in advancing initiatives for the welfare of the community.
