Gunfight breaks out in Hiranagar sector of Kathua, 3 to 4 terrorists believed to be trapped

Jammu, Mar 23 (UNI) A gun battle broke out between a group of terrorists and security forces in Village Sanyal of Hiranagar sector in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday evening .
"A search operation was launched on specific inputs about movement of suspects in the forest area of village Sanyal near Londi border in Hiranagar sector," official sources said.
They said that terrorists, believed to to be 3 to 4 in number are trapped, adding, "they fired at the search party, which was effectively retaliated and encounter triggered."
"Intermittent exchange of firing is in progress while the area is cordoned," they said.
