Haryana: Sub-inspector of Kaithal Police trapped in ACB net

Kaithal, Apr 10 (UNI) The Anti-Corruption Bureau at Ambala arrested a police sub-inspector on the charge of allegedly demanding Rs one lakh from an elderly retired army man of Rajound to remove his name from a case relating a plot dispute.
Accused Manbir Singh, posted with the Economic Cell, allegedly threatened the widow daughter of the elderly man of implicating her father and her younger sister if she did not pay a bribe of Rs one lakh, sources said on Thursday.
The daughter, who is a lawyer by profession, contacted vigilance office, who constituted a raiding party.
